Class Description

6-Week Course Recommended Age: 6-10 months ​This class will be taking the skills from Puppy Foundations and proofing the skills around distractions. Our goal for this class is to have your puppy be able to listen to you around other dogs and people. ​ ​AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is a program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. This program provides a good start to earning the Canine Good Citizen title. **If you would like to be tested for AKC S.T.A.R Puppy please let your instructor know prior to the week before class ends** ​We will work the following focus games: Attention To Name Leave It Long Distance Come When Called Duration Stays on Bed And More We require that your puppy has age-appropriate vaccines per your veterinarian's recommendation prior to attending the first class. For your reference, we are supplying a link to the AVSAB (American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior) position statement on Puppy Socialization.
