Prerequisites:
​-Dogs must be fully grown; at least one year old is ideal, but any dog whose growth plates are closed is welcome
-Dogs should be able to work off-leash around distractions
​-No reactive or aggressive dogs
-Handler familiarity with shaping/using a clicker or marker cues is ideal but not necessary

Weaves are for winners!  We will work with 2x2s and channels to help the dogs learn how to weave independently and at speed.

You will progress more quickly if you have access to some weaves at home. Here are options:
Affordable Agility 2x2 option - OK for smaller dogs or dogs who aren't afraid of equipment moving when they touch it
Affordable Agility stick in the ground poles - better option if your dog is more powerful or dislikes movement
Paw Power 2x2s - you only need 3 sets of 2x2 for this class; those plus a set of 6 straight poles is ideal

We will use fitness exercises, shaping and planks to teach our dogs how to stop in either the 2-on-2-off or 4-on position and how to get in that position quickly and independently! Much of this work can be done away from full height contacts, and as such, this class will not include tons of reps on them. We can also work on troubleshooting any issues dogs may have with the teeter drop.
